1920s Jazz Club

1920 in New York City, A band plays a jazzy ditty. Behind a hidden door tonight, The dancers swing till morning light. You knock three times upon the door, A voice asks, "What are you looking for?" You whisper the password, soft and low, The door swings open, and in you go. Welcome to the speakeasy, Come on in and take it easy. Raise your glass and have some fun, The night's still young, we've just begun! The trumpet plays a lively tune, The clarinet will join in soon. The bartender pours another round, While happy dancers spin around. A lady in a feathered hat, Sits at the bar, we have a chat. She stands up and takes my hand, We start to dance beside the band. Welcome to the speakeasy, Come on in and take it easy. Raise your glass and have some fun, The night's still young, we've just begun! The piano plays a ragtime beat, The crowded room is full of heat. Drinks are flowing, spirits are high, Happy faces are passing by. Welcome to the speakeasy, Come on in and take it easy. Raise your glass and have some fun, The night's still young, we've just begun! The clock strikes two, but no one cares, The dancers keep on dancing in pairs. The music plays throughout the night, We dance until the morning light. Welcome to the speakeasy, Come on in and take it easy. Raise your glass and have some fun, The night's still young, we've just begun!

It’s Saturday night in New York town, The jazz band plays, the lights go down. A pretty girl steps on the stage, And starts to sing for every age. She sings a well-known song, The dancers start to move along. Then the saxophone joins the sound, And happy faces are all around. Come on everybody, sing along, The jazz band plays our favorite song. Come on everybody, feel the groove, Let the music make you move! The piano plays a lively tune, More instruments will join in soon. The bartender pours another drink, When the singer gives a man a wink. He smiles at her and raises his glass, She smiles right back as moments pass. He walks up to her with a rose so red, And offers her the flower with a bow of his head. Come on everybody, sing along, The jazz band plays our favorite song. Come on everybody, feel the groove, Let the music make you move! He walks back slowly to the bar, And watches her from not too far. Her song is done, the lights shine bright, She joins him in her tight dress tonight. They share a drink and talk a while, She looks at him and starts to smile. Another band begins to play, The night is young, they want to stay. He asks her softly, “May I have this dance?” She takes his hand and gives romance a chance. Come on everybody, sing along, The jazz band plays our favorite song. Come on everybody, feel the groove, Let the music make you move! They dance together through the night, And hold each other close and tight. At one o’clock, they leave the club, And walk together to a late-night pub. Come on everybody, sing along, The jazz band plays our favorite song. Come on everybody, feel the groove, Let the music make you move!
